Working for Mitie and based at the home of MINI production, this multi-skilled role combines security, environmental and fire response, plus advanced first aid in a professional, highly trained team environment. We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Emergency Response Team.

This is far more than a standard security position. It's a chance to gain specialist emergency response training, earn recognised qualifications, and develop skills that can open doors across the security, fire, and rescue sectors.

Location

MINI Plant Oxford

Pay Rate

£38,400.00 per annum with ample opportunity to work overtime.

Hours

12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends, average 42 hours per week) and overtime opportunities.

Exceptional Training – Provided by Mitie

Mitie fully funds specialist training including FREC 3, medical gases, fire and breathing apparatus, alongside a strong package of core, voluntary, wellbeing and on-site benefits, plus continuous learning and development.

Successful applicants will complete a full training package, all fully funded by Mitie. Training includes:

  • First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) – 5 days
  • Medical Gases (Oxygen and Entonox) – 2 days (or integrated within FREC 3)
  • Basic Fire Training – 2 days
  • Breathing Apparatus Training – 5 days

From day one, you will be part of a professional response team equipped with the knowledge and confidence to handle critical incidents and protect people, property, and the environment.

As an Emergency Response Team Leader, you will play a key part in maintaining safety and security across a major client site. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing a visible and proactive security presence
  • Lead the team to respond quickly and effectively to fires, first aid incidents, and environmental emergencies
  • Lead the Emergency Response Team in the training, maintaining equipment and organising daily tasks.
  • Maintaining and inspecting emergency equipment to operational standards
  • Conducting internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety, and security policies

What we are looking for

We're seeking motivated, professional individuals who are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role.

Essential Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Valid SIA front line licence (fully funded)
  • Clean shaved
  • Ability to pass a medical and fitness test (including suitability for breathing apparatus)
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing
  • Basic/intermediate IT skills

Desirable

  • FREC 3 medical qualification (if already held)

Please note: due to breathing apparatus requirements, candidates must remain clean-shaven or maintain a tightly trimmed goatee-style beard to ensure equipment compatibility.
