We are working exclusively with a well-regarded, high-performing hedge fund to identify a Portfolio Manager for their dedicated EM equities team in their London office.

The fund has grown considerably in AUM over recent years and has ambitions to continue on that trajectory, with this hire forming part of a deliberate and considered expansion of their investment capabilities. Strong performance, a collegiate senior team, and a clear sense of direction make this a compelling platform for the right person.

The role

  • Take meaningful ownership of an EM equities L/S book, with significant discretion over position sizing, risk management and trade execution alongside the wider investment team
  • Generate long and short investment ideas across LATAM, CEEMEA and/or APAC
  • Lead portfolio construction, trade execution and idea generation whilst working alongside other senior portfolio management and investment staff
  • Lead deep fundamental and relative value analysis, developing independent views on business quality, capital allocation and valuation across a broad EM equity universe
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models with company-specific, sector and macro inputs relevant to target markets
  • Engage directly with management teams, sell-side contacts and local market participants to develop and stress-test investment theses

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
