Job Opportunity: Employability Coach

Are you looking for a job where you inspire and support people to think about their future career? Do you have excellent customer service skills? If so, we are looking for flexible and effective communicators who are at home communicating with customers using digital communication (telephone, webchat, and social media) to provide information and advice to our customers.

About the Company

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government. We provide an essential, all-age, independent, impartial, and bilingual careers guidance and coaching services in Wales, including the Working Wales programme.

Job Details

Position: Employability Coach (Welsh Essential) – Careers Wales Connect

  • Salary: £26,276–£28,256
  • Starting Salary: £26,276
  • Working Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
  • Location: Based anywhere in Wales; predominantly working from home with required office attendance.

Requirements

  • Welsh Language Skills: Essential ability to speak and work through the medium of Welsh.
  • Education/Qualifications: Educated to Level 3 standard or equivalent, ideally in a related area, or have experience at this level. If you do not have the Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice, we will provide training and support to achieve this qualification.
  • Basic Disclosure Check: Completion of a Basic Disclosure check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and inspire clients to secure the best possible career.
  • Provide information and advice to support clients in managing their careers.
  • Offer employability support, including help with CVs and job searching activities.
  • Help clients achieve sustained positive outcomes (education, training, employment).
