Permanent Full Time finish 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday – early finish Fridays

About the Role

Our client are one of Wales’ leading training providers of skills and funded services. They deliver Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Employability Skills and Jobs Growth Wales through their suite of funded programmes.

As an employability officer, you will enhance relationships with employers across South Wales to secure job opportunities and work placements for our clients participants. Jobs Growth Wales Plus is a welsh government initiative that provides work opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.

Your role will involve finding suitable employment opportunities for our clients participants on the programme. Secure quality work placements for the participant to build their skills and confidence. Build relationships with local employers and maintain strong relationships. You will go out to the employers and conduct health and safety assessments. Checking in with the employer and participant to ensure their work experience is going well and address any concerns and offer support. As part of the team you will actively match learners with work placements and job opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with experience of working unemployed adults and young people. Ideally from a recruitment or youth support/youth working environment. We are looking for you to have excellent customer service skills and a natural at building relationships. As part of your onboarding a DBS check will be need (Cost covered by my client) and EWWC registration.
