We have a full-time post available on a fixed-term basis until 11 June 2027. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
Summary Of The Role
The Placement Team within Student Employability and Academic Success (SEAS) at the University of Exeter is recruiting an Employability and Placement Adviser to support Undergraduate and Post Graduate work placement students across a number of credit-bearing placement modules.
Due to the ever-increasing need for students to have the skills and experience to secure a graduate role post-university, work placements have become more popular with students. Work placements not only improve a student’s ability to secure a graduate role (many are offered graduate roles within the organisation where they undertook their placement), but it also can improve their academic outcomes. The placements team are committed to offering a range of support to enable students to secure work placements as part of credit-bearing modules/programmes and continually looks for new ways to engage and offer the help students want/need.

This role is fundamental in promoting the benefits of work placements to both prospective and current students and supporting students to find, compete for and secure them. It includes a wide portfolio of activity such as lectures, workshops, 1 to 1s, group support sessions, online material development across a number of different platforms, marketing, event management, email support etc. as well as opportunities to be part of project groups developing/implementing new activities, resources, events etc.
The starting salary will be from £33,951 to £35,608 on Grade E, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.
