Learning Experience Lead – New to Blue
Location: Global/Remote (with business needs in mind)
About the Role
The Colleague Experience Group (CEG)—American Express’s Human Resources function—drives all colleague-related benefits, programs, and initiatives globally, including career growth, total rewards, well-being, recruitment, onboarding, and learning. The CEG’s mission is to deliver an exceptional colleague experience that empowers Team Amex to thrive.
We are transforming New to Blue, our global colleague onboarding program, into a connected, scalable, and personalized experience that fosters confidence, productivity, and rapid integration into the Company.
You will lead the design and structuring of learning content within New to Blue, ensuring small and large teams, departments, and roles align their learning into cohesive, intuitive journeys. This involves bringing together enterprise-wide resources into clear, role-relevant pathways for seamless training.
Your project will guide learning delivery across platforms while shaping the overall experience for colleagues—ensuring they receive the right information at the best time with minimal friction.
Your Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Define learnings structure within New to Blue, combining enterprise, unit, and role-specific content into structured growth pathways.
- Craft intuitive, role-targeted journeys that align with colleague needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, and product teams to ensure consistency, accessibility, and engagement.
- Curate and optimise learning materials to deliver a seamless digital experience.
- Validate the effectiveness of learning design by feedback loops with colleagues and internal teams.

Additional Accountabilities
- Partner with leadership to understand corporate goals and captivate them into inclusive training strategies.
- Advocate for broader integration of learning across the employee lifecycle.
- incl. frequent conference calls, asynchronous updates, and flexible collaboration.
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years in corporate learning, human resources, or L&D roles (onsite, hybrid, or remote preferred).
- Strong experience with learning platforms, microlearning, and structured onboarding programs.
- Unmatched organisational acumen—ability to consolidate disparate inputs into a scalable, repeatable model.
- Clear aptitude for narrative design—your communication mobilizes teams toward collective success.
- Understanding of data-driven decision-making in a dynamic HR-L&D landscape.
