Employee Relations Advisor – 6-Month FTC (Hybrid, Chelmsford/London office)

About Eurobase International

Eurobase International is a leading software and service provider for the global financial sector, specialising in (re)insurance and banking. Founded in 1988, we deliver innovative solutions covering underwriting, claims, treasury management, and regulatory compliance. We are headquartered in Chelmsford, Essex, and operate internationally. We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a high volume of ER casework, with a particular focus on our Insurance division.

The Role

This is a hands-on, operational ER role where you will manage a varied caseload of complex and high-risk employee relations matters from start to finish. You will be the trusted advisor to managers across the business, providing pragmatic, legally compliant advice and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a high-volume caseload including disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct, absence management, long-term sickness, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Investigations & Hearings: Lead workplace investigations, prepare investigation reports, and attend formal hearings (disciplinary, grievance, appeals) to provide professional HR advice and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Manager Coaching: Coach, challenge, and influence managers to build their confidence and capability in handling people issues effectively.
  • Employment Law: Provide expert advice on UK employment legislation and ACAS Codes of Practice.
  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively manage employee relations risks, escalating high-risk cases appropriately.
  • Organisational Change: Support restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and consultation exercises where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
