Employee Relations Advisor | Leicestershire - Hybrid Working | 3 months Temporary Role | up to £45K

Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking for your next interim opportunity? We're working with a well-established organisation seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team on an initial three-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing a varied ER caseload, partnering with managers and providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice.

The Role

As the Employee Relations Advisor, you'll be responsible for supporting managers across a broad range of employee relations matters, ensuring cases are handled fairly, consistently and in line with current employment legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and coaching to managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, conduct and performance matters.
  • Managing employee relations cases from initial consultation through to outcome and appeal.
  • Conducting and supporting workplace investigations, including preparing investigation reports.
  • Advising on employee complaints and conflict resolution.
  • Supporting formal hearings and meetings.
  • Providing guidance on employment law, HR policies and risk management.
  • Assisting with the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring ER trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and HR documentation.

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisor position with responsibility for managing ER cases.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters independently.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
