Employee Relations Manager

Birmingham (Hybrid Working)

c. £60,000 plus package

A European professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join its People & Culture team during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a positive employee experience, providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, and supporting the organisation's ambitious growth strategy.

Reporting to the Head of People

You will act as the senior escalation point for employee relations matters across the business, managing a varied caseload including complex issues relating to performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance, organisational change, and wider people initiatives.

  • Managing complex employee relations cases from end to end, ensuring fair, timely, and impartial resolution
  • Providing expert guidance to managers on UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Leading investigations, hearings, and mediation processes where required
  • Supporting organisational change activities, including restructures, mergers, and TUPE processes
  • Identifying ER trends and using management information to inform proactive interventions and continuous improvement
  • Coaching and developing managers to build capability and confidence in people matters
  • Contributing to wider People projects and strategic initiatives

You Will Bring

  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively at all levels
  • Experience supporting organisational change programmes, including restructures and TUPE transfers
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to risk and decision-making
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when dealing with sensitive matters
