Employee Relations Officer

Location: NHS Western Isles Band: 6 Salary: £43,231 - £52,679 per annum plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 per annum Hours: 36 per week Post Type: Permanent (x2 vacancies)

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

As an Employee Relations Officer, you’ll support NHS Western Isles in creating a fair, inclusive, and supportive working environment. You’ll provide expert guidance to managers and staff, resolving employee relations issues and promoting best practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver professional advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Assist with casework related to attendance, conduct, and performance
  • Handle and contribute to complex employee relations matters
  • Champion best practice and organisational values
  • Support a culture of engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Proven experience in employee relations casework
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • A proactive, compassionate, and solution-focused mindset
  • Postgraduate CIPD qualification (highly desirable)
