Role Purpose
Acting as the primary point of contact to all line managers across the business for people related matters including ER case management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will be integral in building a positive employee experience by providing a comprehensive and quality service to our stakeholders throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
ER
- Manage ER cases across the firm, providing professional advice and support
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR related queries from employees and managers
- Advise on employment law, HR policies, and procedures to ensure compliance to mitigate risks
- Coach and assist line managers in understanding our processes, policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong and trusted partnerships with managers, providing constructive challenges acting as a sounding board and advisor
- Provide guidance on redundancy, restructuring, and redeployment activities
- Drive continuous improvement across the firm focussing on embedding performance management and driving a high-performance culture

Employment Law
- Monitor legislative changes in employment
- Review, update, and communicate HR policies to align with legal requirements and organisational goals
HR Data
- Track key HR metrics (e.g., retention rates, turnover, absenteeism) to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Advise managers on employee development plans and career progression
- Contribute to HR projects such as system implementations, diversity initiatives, or organisational changes resulting in complex employee relations activities, including TUPE transfers, restructures and redundancy exercises
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR practices with business objectives
- Support the HR Manager with the implementation of HR Strategy and translating it into policies and processes
- Support the implementation of people agenda initiatives across the practice areas
- Deputise for the HR Manager as necessary
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the HR Advisor and HR Administrator

Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications
- Proven track record and strong experience in ER cases - Essential
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Excellent organisational skills with a great attention to detail
- Generalist HR experience with the ability to provide advice on all elements of HR
- Courage to challenge and question where appropriate
- Current knowledge of Employment Law
- Evidence of coaching and influencing skills
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards
