Employee Relations Specialist

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will provide consultancy services on the rights and obligations of employers and employees, contribute to the development of robust employment policies, and coach managers on country-specific Employee Relations policies. Accountabilities:
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will:
- Provide advice and consultancy services across a broad portfolio of employment cases.
- Own case resolution; assessing risks (legal, financial, and reputational) and developing appropriate approaches for resolution.
- Collaborate with Legal Counsel and third parties to reach closure on cases.
- Develop relationships with senior management and other specialists to provide employment relations advice.
- Assist in the development of employment policies and processes.
- Facilitate training programs.
- Support with varied ER project work.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience of handling ER casework from start to finish to include disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance management.
- Experience of UK Employment Law legal framework, to understand the risks associated with ER casework and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- The ability to provide commercially focused and pragmatic advice to balance the needs of the individuals and the commercial organisation.
- Experience of creating and reviewing employment policies and procedures in light of ongoing changes to employment law and HR best practice.
- Creating and delivering training on ER and HR subjects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience of digital and technological ER solutions to bring efficiencies to the case ER lifecycle.
- High level of organisation and ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet needs of a fast-paced environment.
