Employee Relations Specialist

The Role

Working closely with HR colleagues and senior managers, you will provide expert Employee Relations advice and support across a broad range of casework, helping to ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant people practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability and performance matters.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to managers on Employee Relations issues and employment legislation.
  • Supporting formal investigations, hearings and appeals.
  • Coaching managers to build confidence in managing people issues effectively.
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across the organisation.
  • Working collaboratively with HR colleagues to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and producing reports where required.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing complex Employee Relations cases from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while managing a busy and varied workload.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is desirable but not essential.
