We're Hiring | Employee Relations Specialist

📍 Location: Blackburn (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact?

We're looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our People Team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on Employee Relations with business partnering, organisational change, and strategic People projects.

Working as part of a collaborative People Team, you'll support managers across the business, provide expert advice on complex people matters, and help create a positive, fair, and high-performing workplace.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll manage a varied Employee Relations caseload, providing practical and commercially focused advice on conduct, capability, absence, grievance, and disciplinary matters.
  • You'll also:
    • Coach and develop managers to build confidence in handling people matters.
    • Support organisational change, including restructures, TUPE transfers, and organisational design.
    • Use People data and insights to identify trends, reduce risk, and inform decisions.
    • Provide expert guidance on UK employment law and ensure our policies remain compliant.
    • Contribute to People initiatives that support engagement, performance, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing complex Employee Relations cases.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to balance people needs with commercial priorities in a fast-paced environment.
