Employee Relations Specialist
HR Advisor (Employee Relations) – Hybrid, 6-Month Contract (Potential Longer-Term Engagement)
This fantastic opportunity is for an HR Advisor with a specialised focus on Employee Relations, supporting a globally recognised multinational technology leader in a hybrid working arrangement for an initial 6-month term.
The role offers real potential to progress into permanent employment for the right candidate.
Key Role Overview
You will be central to delivering high-quality Employee Relations (ER) support while ensuring consistency and alignment across complex organisational change programmes. This specialistrather than generalist role requires a strong balance of strategic direction and reactive hands-on case management.
Closely aligned with regional HR teams, legal partners, and expertise centres, you will provide both proactive and reactive ER support.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with HR Business Partners, regional People/HR teams, and legal to deliver large-scale change initiatives, including:
- Restructures
- Redundancies
- TUPE transfers
- Settlements
- Employee exits

Support leadership in restructuring, redeployment, and redundancy processes

Serve as the primary point of escalation for high-complexity employee relations cases, offering expert guidance

Manage and resolve sensitive ER issues, including:
- Conducting thorough investigations into disciplinary issues or concerns
- Providing objective recommendations based on findings

Coach managers on HR policies and best practices to prevent escalation of employee matters

Maintain comprehensive and accurate case documentation

Analyse ER data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements

Contribute to continuous development of Employee Relations practices
About You
Educational Background
- Degree (or equivalent) preferred in:
- Human Resources
- Employment Law
- Related legal/industrial fields
Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise as an Employee Relations specialist, demonstrated through case studies or experience
- Experience within a large, global, and matrixed organisation to support complex dynamics and align strategies
- Deep knowledge of UK employment law, with optional preference for Irish legal expertise
- Proven effectiveness in change management, irrespective of the stimulus for modification
- Advantageous background within media, technology, or entertainment sectors
