Do you believe that work should be accessible to everyone and want to help make that happen?

As an Employer Adviser with Connect to Work, you’ll be the vital link between individuals facing barriers to employment and employers. You’ll build strong partnerships across Gloucestershire, engage proactively with employers, and support people to sustain meaningful employment.

About The Role

Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub offers a one-stop source of information, advice, guidance and support around employment and skills. Working with a range of partners and employers in localities across Gloucestershire, the Hub delivers 1:1 support through a number of programmes for people with barriers to entering, re-entering or retaining work, as well as advice and signposting for any resident looking for help. As an Employer Adviser, you’ll operate in a target-driven, outward-facing role focused on generating job opportunities and achieving sustainable employment outcomes. You’ll proactively build a pipeline of employers, using a consultative sales approach to identify vacancies, understand business needs, and promote inclusive recruitment.

  • Working closely with Employment Specialists, you’ll match candidates to suitable roles and support successful placements.
  • You’ll influence employers, address barriers to hiring, and position Connect to Work as a trusted recruitment partner.
  • You’ll also provide ongoing account management, supporting job starts and retention through practical advice such as reasonable adjustments.
  • Alongside this, you’ll use labour market insight to target sectors, grow employer networks, and maximise opportunities.

Above all, you’ll bring a strong values-driven approach, with a genuine belief that everyone who wants to work can work. You’ll be committed to challenging perceptions, advocating for individuals, and working with employers to create opportunities that are inclusive, sustainable, and meaningful.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
