About The Role

Employer Engagement Administrator

This full-time post is available immediately until 31st August 2027 to cover a maternity. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

The starting salary will be from £28029 on Grade C, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

Student Employability and Academic Success

The Employer Engagement and Student Employment team sit within the Student Employability and Academic Success (SEAS) department, which resides within the Education and Student Support Directorate. Overall, we are responsible for providing key education and administrative support activities that underpin the student experience. SEAS consists of professional services teams that provide a portfolio of educational activities to assist students with the development of their academic, professional, personal, career and employability attributes throughout their time at the University, including global experience opportunities.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in providing excellent customer service to students and staff in all matters relating to careers and employability support. You will plan and organise events, administer placements and support student communications.

About the Role

The post holder will be part of the Employer Engagement and Student Employment team based on the Penryn campus. The role primarily involves providing a student, staff and employer facing administrative service for credit-bearing placement modules, ensuring paperwork is issued to all parties and that health and safety processes are followed to guarantee a safe and enjoyable placement for the student.

In addition, the post holder will support the team’s remit of organising employer and alumni focused events both virtually and in-person on campus. Communications activities such as our weekly email newsletter and social media design and scheduling are also a key part of this varied role which seeks to support students into meaningful connections with employers and alumni.

About You

We are looking for someone with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail along with the ability to prioritise and deal with a varied workload. The ideal candidate would demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills (especially the Microsoft Office suite) and also have experience of working in an administration role where excellent customer experience is a priority. Experience of organising events and/or digital marketing knowledge would be useful in this post although full training would be given to the right candidate who is motivated to learn. We need someone with a “can do” attitude to join our friendly and ambitious team.
