About The Role

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career? Harrogate College are currently hiring an Employer Support and Recruitment Co-ordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the future of apprenticeships through a business development role.

You will be joining a well-established and expanding apprenticeship team, working with more than 100 employers and partners across a variety of sectors. In this role, you’ll help drive growth, strengthen relationships, and deliver impactful apprenticeship and training solutions.

If you’re commercially minded, confident in working with clients, and enjoy a consultative approach to sales, this position offers autonomy, meaningful work, and strong long-term prospects.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for driving sales and employer engagement activity across North Yorkshire (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Boroughbridge, York).
  • Take ownership of your own sectors, manage a pipeline of opportunities, build long-term partnerships, and deliver a first-class consultative sales experience to employers.
  • Deliver a consultative sales approach across apprenticeship and training solutions, manage a pipeline to meet targets, and present compelling proposals to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with employers, stakeholders, and industry contacts through regular meetings and engagement.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, and represent the organisation at events, exhibitions, and promotional activities.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, and contribute to team meetings and wider organisational initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience in Employer Engagement, Business Development, or Sales within the Further Education sector, with a strong track record of achieving performance targets.
  • Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence and experience to deliver engaging presentations to a wide range of stakeholders, both in person and via online platforms.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable managing your own sectors.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Solid understanding of the Further Education landscape, with particular insight into the delivery and development of apprenticeship programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
