In-House Employment Counsel (Fixed-Term Contract | 2 Months)

📍 Location: London (hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our in-house legal team on a 2-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded employment specialist to support a leading insurance business during a period of increased demand.

Working closely with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders, you will provide pragmatic employment law advice across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

  • Advising on a wide spectrum of employment law matters across the UK.
  • Supporting employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Advising on employment tribunal claims and managing external counsel where required.
  • Supporting HR and management teams with day-to-day employment law queries.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and mitigating employment-related risks across the organisation.
