This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience of employment law or HR, in a supportive and collaborative environment

Joining Mentor, you’ll be delivering employment law and HR compliance services and administrative support to our clients

This could be a major stepping stone for your future career, as we’ll support your progression with training

This role does not meet Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements

What you'll do

We’ll be looking to you to provide employment law and HR advice and guidance. You’ll identify opportunities to meet the needs of your client through bespoke services, and you’ll generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, generating income through cross sales.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering legally compliant and commercial HR and employment law advice primarily by telephone, with some email and webchat
  • Providing prompt assistance and completing your work in a timely manner
  • Keeping accurate records of the advice you've given

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience in a HR or employment law role providing advice to line managers or supporting on employee relations processes such as discilinaries and grievances.

If you already have a qualification in employment law or HR, this would be an advantage, although this is not essential, as we’ll support you to obtain this while in your role.

You’ll Also Need

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) code of practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build rapport over the telephone with clients from multiple sectors and at different levels of the business
  • High standards of attention to detail
  • Good research skills
