Employment Law Solicitor, Belfast, Suit 2-5 yrs + PQE

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Solicitor (2–5 years’ PQE) to join the highly regarded Employment team of a prestigious commercial law firm.

This role offers the chance to work with a top-tier legal practice, advising an impressive portfolio of domestic and international clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering strategic, commercially focused legal solutions to major employers, financial institutions, and multinational organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employers on:
    • Disciplinary and grievance procedures
    • Redundancy and restructuring
    • Employment contracts and executive agreements
    • Workplace policies and compliance
    • TUPE transfers
    • Equality and discrimination matters
  • Managing employment tribunal and workplace relations litigation
  • Supporting corporate transactions on employment matters
  • Advising on senior executive exits and negotiations
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Working closely with partners on complex matters
  • Participating in business development initiatives

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland, Ireland, or England & Wales
  • 2–5 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong technical employment law expertise
  • Experience within a reputable commercial or specialist practice
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload
  • Proactive and collaborative approach
