Employment Law Solicitor, Belfast, Suit 2-5 yrs + PQE
Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Solicitor (2–5 years’ PQE) to join the highly regarded Employment team of a prestigious commercial law firm.
This role offers the chance to work with a top-tier legal practice, advising an impressive portfolio of domestic and international clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering strategic, commercially focused legal solutions to major employers, financial institutions, and multinational organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising employers on:
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Redundancy and restructuring
- Employment contracts and executive agreements
- Workplace policies and compliance
- TUPE transfers
- Equality and discrimination matters
- Managing employment tribunal and workplace relations litigation
- Supporting corporate transactions on employment matters
- Advising on senior executive exits and negotiations
- Building strong client relationships
- Working closely with partners on complex matters
- Participating in business development initiatives

Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland, Ireland, or England & Wales
- 2–5 years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong technical employment law expertise
- Experience within a reputable commercial or specialist practice
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage a busy caseload
- Proactive and collaborative approach
