Are you an experienced employment lawyer looking for a unique opportunity to make a strategic impact across a government department?

UK Export Finance (UKEF), the UK's export credit agency, is seeking an Employment Lawyer to establish and lead our employment law function. This newly created role offers the chance to become the department's specialist adviser on employment law, working closely with senior leaders and our Human Resources Division to ensure legal compliance, manage risk, and support a high-performing workplace.

As our employment law expert, you will:

  • Provide practical, solution-focused advice on a broad range of issues including employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters, organisational change, restructuring, workforce policy, contractual arrangements, settlement agreements, and employment litigation.
  • Advise on emerging legislation, support complex business decisions, and help shape the organisation's approach to managing legal risk across its workforce.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
