We are working with a leading multinational organisation in the technology sector seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its legal team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a fast-paced, international business on a broad range of employment law matters across Europe.

Key Responsibilities Provide practical, commercially focused employment law advice to HR and business stakeholders across multiple European jurisdictions. Support the management of complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary issues, grievances, performance management, restructures, redundancies, and terminations. Advise on employment law risks associated with organisational change initiatives and business transformation projects. Partner with HR and leadership teams on workplace policies, investigations, employee disputes, and compliance matters. Work closely with external counsel across various European countries where specialist local law advice is required. Advise on information and consultation obligations, including engagement with employee representative bodies and works councils. Support employment aspects of business transactions, integrations, and cross-border projects. Assist with the development and implementation of employment policies, procedures, and best practices across the region.

Required Experience Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent legal qualification. Significant employment law experience gained in-house and/or within a leading law firm. Strong experience advising on employment law matters across multiple European jurisdictions. Demonstrable experience working with works councils and advising on employee consultation requirements within European markets. Experience supporting multinational organisations in a fast-paced commercial environment. Ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice to senior stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience Experience within the technology, software, digital, or broader multinational corporate sector. Previous experience supporting cross-border employment projects and organisational change initiatives. Familiarity with employment law issues arising in matrixed, international organisations.
