Employment Lawyer
Solicitor – Employment Law
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its well-established Employment team
Known for delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of practice areas, the firm has built a strong reputation for supporting clients through complex workplace matters with both technical expertise and a pragmatic, client-focused approach. Based in Winchester, the team operates on a hybrid basis and is supported by a wider national network of experienced employment specialists.
Your New Role
This exciting opportunity is for an Employment Lawyer to join a busy and successful team handling a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. You will:
- Manage your own caseload while playing a key role in advising clients on issues including:
- Discrimination and equality law
- Redundancy processes
- Employment terminations
- TUPE matters
- Draft and review employment contracts and related documentation
- Represent and support clients through employment tribunal proceedings, including:
- Negotiating settlements
- Providing clear, commercially focused advice across workplace scenarios
- Lead client meetings, handle complex negotiations, and build strong client relationships
- Contribute to the success of the team by maintaining high standards of client care and delivering practical, effective legal solutions

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you must be:
- A qualified Solicitor with strong employment law experience
- Capable of managing a confident, independent caseload in employment matters
- Capable of handling employment tribunal matters and advising on:
- Discrimination law
- Redundancy processes
- TUPE obligations
- A strong communicator with exceptional negotiation skills
- Comfortable leading client discussions and navigating complex legal issues with clarity and professionalism
- Proactive, organised, and highly detail-oriented to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Client-focused with commercial awareness and a collaborative attitude
- Self-motivated with initiative to contribute positively to the wider team
