Location: Union High School – Rimersburg, Pennsylvania

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: Regionally competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Union School District is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Athletic Trainer to serve at Union High School. The successful candidate will provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to student-athletes while promoting health, safety, and wellness across all athletic programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania
  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Required clearances:
    • Act 114 – FBI Fingerprint Clearance
    • Act 168 – Sexual Misconduct Disclosure
    • Act 34 – State Police Clearance
    • Act 151 – Child Abuse Clearance
  • Up to date on Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes
  • Maintain accurate medical and injury documentation
  • Communicate and collaborate with coaches, school nurses, and physicians regarding student health and safety
  • Ensure compliance with PIAA and district athletic policies
  • Foster a positive, student-centered athletic environment focused on safety and performance
