We are looking to recruit a Paralegal to support our established Employment team in the London office, working with a range of exciting and high-profile clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the Employment Team, providing quality support to all members of the department including partners and other fee-earners.
- Assist with the co-ordination of matters, acting as the lead paralegal on various matters progressing towards trial or other hearings.
- Assist with preparation and provide support for trials or other hearings, including preparing bundles (both electronic and hard copy), managing bundle updates, organising documents, coordinating logistics, and setting up the court room for hearings.
- Become familiar with the court's electronic filing system, assisting with the preparation of documents for filing at court and dealing with such electronic filing as required.
- Assist with the monitoring of various databases, including the listing of trials and hearings, published judgments, and new claims, and reporting to the department.
- Organise case files, including maintaining workspaces, archiving files, updating archiving records, and arranging for the recovery of archived boxes as required.
- Establish relationships and liaise regularly with counsel's clerks, the judge's clerks and other external contacts to ensure the smooth running of matters progressing towards trial or other hearings.
- Attend court for the handing down of judgments and take notes at third party hearings, reporting back to partners and other fee-earners as required.

Essential
What you'll bring
- Have some knowledge of court procedures and Employment.
- Excellent organisational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt tone and language to suit the audience.
- Ability to deal with confidential
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

- Motivated and able to work on own initiative with limited guidance.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in often demanding situations.
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, recognising the importance of meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to expand on knowledge and skills.
