Role Description
We seek a senior Employment Partner in London to act as a strategic adviser to UK-based and multinational employers on complex domestic and international employment law matters. Successful candidates bring deep technical expertise, practical guidance, strong commercial judgment, and a relationship-led approach, with the ability to guide clients through sensitive employee relations issues, cross-border projects, workforce change, and evolving employment models.

The firm operates a client-centric model in a fully remote environment with strong internal collaboration to deliver client results based on consensus and driven by partner-led teams. Physical offices are available as needed in the City of London for client meetings, and the London and US partners have opportunities for periodic in-person meetings. Many of the firm’s Partners come from the world’s preeminent law firms, in-house departments, and strategic government agencies.
Qualifications
- Strong track record advising UK and multinational employers on domestic and international employment matters, including employee relations, difficult exits, grievances, disciplinary issues, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Experience leading or coordinating multi-jurisdictional employment projects, including redundancy and transformation programs, site closures or relocations, compliance reviews, international mobility, and immigration-related employment issues.
- Familiarity with employment issues affecting global and evolving workforces, including gender pay reporting, background checks, remote and hybrid working, and innovative employment models.
- Successful partner candidates typically have material experience (7+ years’ experience) gained in Magic Circle/Silver Circle and AmLaw 100/200 law firms. Given the practice area, preeminent boutique practices at niche and specialist mid-market firms are also desirable. Rankings from Chambers and/or Legal 500 are also helpful validation of client service.
- A minimum portable book commensurate with practice experience is essential. Most successful candidates have client followings >£300K+.
