Junior Employment Law Solicitor – Newcastle
Application Deadline: 14 July 2026 Department: Employment Rights Location: Newcastle Compensation: £42,699 – £45,906 per year
About the Role
We are seeking qualified Solicitors with strong employment law experience to join our Employment Rights team. Passionate about advocating for clients, you’ll deliver outstanding service while helping people navigate complex employment disputes.
Your responsibilities will cover a diverse caseload of claimant employment matters, including:
- Unfair dismissal
- Discrimination proceedings
- Whistleblowing claims
- Workplace disputes
Beyond legal work, you’ll focus on building strong client relationships, providing reassurance, and ensuring clients feel supported throughout their cases.
Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a caseload of employment tribunal claims independently
- Offer practical advice and guidance on employment law issues
- Communicate clearly with clients, explaining complex matters in accessible terms
- Prepare and present cases effectively in tribunal proceedings
- Work collaboratively within a team of experienced professionals

Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with at least two years’ experience in employment litigation
- Sound knowledge of Employment Tribunal procedures and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess claims, deliver accurate advice, and secure favourable outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Commitment to client-centred advocacy and empathetic care
