Employment Senior Associate (5+ PQE) | West End | L500 and Spears Ranked
This award-winning West End firm has recently hired an employment partner from a Top 50 heavyweight law firm, and they're building their team! As such, this is a chance to work at a firm with one of the best names in the West End and also benefit from the exposure to the quality of work you would expect in a top City firm.
Therefore, this is an incredible opportunity for an Employment Senior Associate with 5+ PQE to join in on this exciting journey!
The Firm
This firm has one of the most well-respected names across London. They are a multi-service practice punching well above their weight. They are ranked highly in the Legal 500, and in the last five years they have nearly doubled in size due to a dynamic team, strategic key hires, and an influx of work.
They have attracted many lawyers from top firms in London who are looking for a more collegiate, friendly culture where staff can make more of an impact and feel valued. You will also find there is much more in the way of staff flexibility and work-life balance than at larger city firms. They act for an array of companies, including names such as John Lewis, Arcadia, and Vodafone.
The firm is very entrepreneurial and is ahead of the curve; they have recently invested in artificial intelligence, using state-of-the-art software, allowing staff to save days of work. This firm is one of the only SME-sized law firms using it; big names have used it for several years.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
