Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor – Position Overview
A full-time role reporting to the Employment Team Partner. The Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor will:
- Work on a broad and varied caseload alongside experienced solicitors.
- Develop expertise across the full range of employment law with increasing autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support to clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Support employment tribunal matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including:
- Drafting key documents
- Preparing cases
- Progressing matters through each stage
- Prepare draft witness statements and other key legal documents under supervision, ensuring:
- Accuracy
- Attention to detail
- Maintain accurate file records and contribute to:
- Billing processes
- Efficient management of client matters
- Undertake legal research and provide commercially focused support.
- Manage an increasingly autonomous caseload.
- Contribute to the growth of the Employment team, including:
- Supporting networking
- Business development activities
Requirements
- Newly Qualified Solicitor seeking a career in employment law.
- Interest in developing both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Strong skills in:
- Legal research
- Drafting
- Document preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail with accuracy in handling client matters.
- Strong ability to:
- Communicate with clients
- Manage client relationships
- A commercially focused and practical approach.
- Ability to manage a caseload with growing autonomy in a collaborative team environment.
