The Opportunity
We are working with a well-regarded regional firm that combines technical legal expertise with a practical, commercially focused approach. The firm places strong emphasis on delivering advice that works in the real world, supporting both individuals and businesses through complex and sensitive employment matters.
The Team
The Employment team works closely with HR professionals and other legal specialists to provide a fully integrated service. This structure ensures clients receive advice that balances legal precision with commercial and people-focused insight. The team collaborates regularly with Corporate & Commercial colleagues, offering exposure to wider business strategy and decision-making.
The Work
You will advise a broad client base including regional businesses, growing companies, senior executives and individuals on a wide range of employment matters. The caseload includes:
- Contentious matters such as disputes, claims and workplace issues
- Non-contentious advisory work including restructures and TUPE
- Executive exits and settlement agreements
- Business protection and restrictive covenants
- Strategic, day-to-day employment and HR advice

Working Environment
Hybrid working is offered, with flexibility to balance home and office working. However, the firm places real value on in-person collaboration, particularly in the Bath office, where you can benefit from close interaction with experienced colleagues and ongoing development opportunities.
About You
- Qualified Employment Solicitor (flexible PQE considered)
- Commercially aware with a practical approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and an interest in working closely with clients
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload and taking ownership of work
- Collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in business and people
