The Opportunity
Join a dynamic team seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor in Leeds.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management:
- Manage your own varied caseload spanning both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Client Advisory & Risk Mitigation:
- Advise clients on employment practices, workforce issues, and defending employment claims with risk mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with clients and cross-departmental teams, including regulatory and commercial colleagues.
- Diverse Legal Work:
- Handle a broad mix of advisory, transactional, and litigation tasks.
- Specialised Issues:
- Address novel and complex employment law challenges across evolving markets.
- Support & Mentorship:
- Provide supervisory and mentoring to junior colleagues.
- Training & Client Relations:
- Contribute to training delivery and client relationship management initiatives.

About You – Requirements & Experience
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4+ years’ Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) with diverse Employment Law expertise, preferably in relevant sectors.
- Sector-Specific Experience:
- Advising on restructures, redundancy processes, and workforce transitions.
- Proven background in employee relations, including settlement negotiations.
- Litigation & Complex Case Handling:
- Strong litigation skills for managing complex, high-profile cases in collaboration with others.
- Transaction-Due Diligence & TUPE:
- TUPE expertise, including drafting and negotiating warranties/indemnities.
- Experience with workforce consultation processes and corporate/commercial transactions.
- Policy Drafting & Review:
- Ability to draft and evaluate employment policies.
- Collaborative Mindset:
- Mentorship and team development interest.
- Commercially acumen with a focus on client relationship-building.
