The Role

A rising legal firm in Solihull is seeking an **Experienced Employment Solicitor (5–6 years Post-Qualification Experience - PQE) to join their dynamic and respected Employment team. You’ll advise a diverse range of clients, including businesses and individuals, across contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll lead and deliver on a broad range of employment law tasks, including:

  • Advising employers on disciplinary and grievance proceedings, restructures, redundancies, performance management, and TUPE matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims—from initial instruction to final resolution
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements, and other key employment documents
  • Providing commercially focused legal advice in support of corporate transactions, including due diligence
  • Supporting business development efforts, such as networking, seminars, and client training initiatives

About You

We’re searching for a commercially savvy Employment Solicitor who excels in collaborative environments and loves establishing trusted business relationships.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 5–6 years’ PQE in Employment Law (UK law firm)
  • Strong expertise in contentious and non-contentious work
  • Experience independently managing your own caseload with confidence and minimal oversight
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, commercial mindset
  • Exceptional drafting, organisational, and analytical abilities
  • A strong team player’s mentality with an appetite to grow the practice
