Employment Solicitor- NQ

We're looking for an ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our award-winning Employment, Pensions & Immigration team at Brabners.

This is an exciting opportunity for a trainee solicitor due to qualify in 2026, or a recently qualified solicitor, to build their career within a highly regarded employment practice. You'll work alongside experienced lawyers advising a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses to large organisations across a variety of sectors.

From day one, you'll gain exposure to high-quality work, enjoy genuine responsibility and benefit from the support and mentoring needed to develop into a trusted employment law adviser.

This position is available in Manchester, Liverpool or Preston (Bamber Bridge).

The Role & Team

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll advise on a broad range of employment matters, including:

  • Day-to-day employment law advice for employers
  • Disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues
  • Redundancy and restructuring projects
  • Employment contracts, policies and handbooks
  • Settlement agreements and exits
  • TUPE matters
  • Employment Tribunal claims and dispute resolution
  • Corporate support work, including employment due diligence and transaction support

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who:

  • Are due to qualify as a Solicitor in 2026 or have recently qualified
  • Have completed at least one seat in Employment Law during their training contract
  • Possess strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Have a genuine enthusiasm for employment law and delivering outstanding client service
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Are eager to learn and develop their career within a leading law firm
