Employment Solicitor
Employment Solicitor (Partner)
Location: Essex Years of PQE: 8+ Salary: Circa GBP 75K — GBP 95K (DOE)
About the Role
An established law firm is looking to expand by appointing an experienced Employment Solicitor (Partner) to lead and develop their Employment practice.
As the firm grows, they seek a senior solicitor who will steer and shape a department while managing a diverse range of employment law matters—both contentious and non-contentious—on behalf of employers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims, redundancy and restructuring processes.
- Advising clients on drafting employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
- Assisting with settlement agreements, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Overseeing business development, networking, and building key professional relationships.
- Occasional travel to other offices within the firm.
- Taking ownership of the Employment department, contributing to its growth and development.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:
- 8+ years PQE in Employment Law, with experience acting for both employers and employees.
- Proven ability to manage complex employment matters.
- A leadership mindset with ambition to build and grow an Employment department.
