The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Employment Solicitor (2–6 years’ PQE) to join our highly regarded Employment team.
This role offers exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non‑contentious employment law work, with early responsibility, direct client contact and the support of an experienced, collaborative team. You will advise both businesses and individuals locally and nationally, delivering practical, high‑quality advice on interesting and often complex matters.
About The Employment Team
Our Employment team is widely recognised as one of the strongest in the region, undertaking high‑calibre work for a diverse client base.
In The Legal 500 (UK) 2026 Directory, Clients Commented
“Greene & Greene’s employment team stands out for its expert yet pragmatic approach, offering businesses tailored, commercially focused advice. Unlike larger firms, it combines city‑level expertise with a highly personal and responsive service. Clients trust the team to handle complex employment matters, from tribunal claims and restrictive covenants to TUPE and executive exits, always delivering clear, practical solutions.”
The team advises on the full range of employment matters, including tribunal litigation, restrictive covenants, TUPE and senior/executive exits. We pride ourselves on building long‑term client relationships that allow us to provide tailored, commercial advice.
The Role
As an Employment Solicitor in our team, you will work on a varied and stimulating caseload across both contentious and non‑contentious employment law. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your practice within a supportive, well‑respected team, while maintaining a sustainable and balanced approach to work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
