Sushi Production Team Leader (Permanent) – Fast-Paced Food Production

About the Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and proactive Team Leader to oversee a Kiosk team while ensuring exceptional food safety, hygiene, and operational excellence in our fast-paced production environment.

You’ll need a mix of strong leadership, hands-on prep skills, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards—all while leading by example and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

As our Sushi Production Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Team & Operations Management
    • Lead, mentor, and empower your team to build confidence and capability, ensuring collective success.
    • Oversee shifting teams, fostering collaboration while maintaining individual accountability.
    • Be accountable for Kiosk operation, safety, and compliance—meeting EHO (Environmental Health Officer) requirements, audit standards, and brand policies.

  • Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
    • Maintain rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards for customers, clients, and staff.
    • Correctly label products with allergen and compliance details per legal requirements.
  • Production & Quality Control

    • Prep fresh ingredients by hand, including raw fish and meat, with precision.
    • Highly organised, with a forward-thinking tact, balancing multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, food quality, and sustainability.
    • openness to learning new skills or refining existing expertise.

Requirements

Essential Experience & Qualities

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to guide teams effectively.
  • Fast-paced environment comfort with a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellence in food safety knowledge and commitment.
  • Ability to follow food production standards, brand guidelines, and company policies.
  • Consistently walking the talk—aligning behaviour with team expectations.
