Enablement Support Workers - Erewash Area

⭐Derbyshire County Council are hiring! ⭐

Derbyshire County Council are looking for Enablement Support Workers to come and join our new short-term reablement teams, to work within our local communities.

Supporting clients within their own home to regain full or partial independence will be the focus of our dedicated Enablement Support Workers.

You don’t need to have previous experience of care work or qualifications as we offer structured training to ensure our care workers receive what they need to flourish and progress in their social care careers!

What are we looking for?

Are you someone with a caring personality and a desire to care for others? Do you have the ambition and drive to work positively with people, promoting choice and control to encourage their independence in personal care, mobility, medication, making meals, whilst working to their goal-focused personal service plan? If the answer is “yes” then we are keen to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

Working in care can be challenging at times, but extremely rewarding, and you will be working as part of a multi-professional team to provide wrap-around support to enable people to live as independently as possible in their own home.

You will be working towards a therapeutic goal-focused care plan that is aimed at promoting independence and you will have access to support through the new structure. You will work closely with other colleagues and have regular access to your Senior Enablement Support Worker for “on the job” queries and support and from your Enablement Support Lead for supervision, professional development and access to training.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
