End User Computing (EUC) Manager
About the Role

We are creating a new function focused solely on solving end user technology challenges, ensuring a technologically stress-free experience for our colleagues. The End User Computing (EUC) team will oversee all end user-related technology needs, including hardware, software, and processes.
As EUC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Defining the end-user technology strategy.
- Building and leading a committed technology team to deliver this vision, comprising IT EUC Engineers and Technicians.
- Leading a team with expertise in:
- End user hardware maintenance.
- Network connectivity.
- Microsoft Office and productivity software.
- Audio Visual (AV) technology.
- IT Asset Management.
- Introducing innovation and automation in end-user customer care, transforming the approach to industrial-scale service support for NPL’s 1,300 multi-site users.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership skills, including knowledge of:
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Image and Operating System:
- Standard corporate builds, deployment processes, operating system lifecycle management, and Group Policy/configuration baselines.
- Patching and Software:
- Endpoint patching, software packaging/distribution, and platform updates.
- Connectivity and Collaboration:
- VPN client integration and Microsoft 365.
- Mobility:
- Mobile device management/integration and secure BYOD policies.
- Virtual Desktops:
- Management and maintenance of the organisation’s cloud-hosted virtual desktop environment (VDE).
- Workplace Technology:
- Meeting-room collaboration systems and Audio-Visual (AV) hardware/software.
