Volunteer Medical Advisor – Endocrinology & Women’s Hormonal Health
Duration: 3 Months (Initial Term)
Location: Fully Remote (Global)
Time Commitment: 2–4 hours per month (Flexible)
Compensation: Unpaid / Advisory Portfolio Position
About Us
LYNA is building the nutrition layer in women’s health. We bridge the gap between cycle tracking and nutritional science through AI-driven meal scanning and condition-specific nutrition scoring. Our platform supports women across five key hormonal conditions: PCOS, Endometriosis, Infertility, Perimenopause, and RED-S.
We cater to women across all cycle profiles—including those with regular cycles, irregular cycles, and non-cycling states (such as hypothalamic amenorrhea or menopause).
Role Summary
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Endocrinologist or Reproductive Endocrinologist to join our Medical Advisory Panel on a 3-month volunteer basis.
In this role, you will provide expert medical oversight to ensure our AI-powered meal scoring, micronutrient tracking, and cycle-syncing algorithms are medically sound, clinically accurate, and safe for women with varying hormonal profiles.

Key Responsibilities
- Algorithm & Protocol Review: Evaluate and validate LYNA’s condition-specific nutritional rules (e.g., insulin sensitivity protocols for PCOS, anti-inflammatory frameworks for Endometriosis, energy availability safety checks for RED-S).
- Cycle Profile Mapping: Advise on how nutritional guidance should adapt across regular, irregular, and non-cycling (no-period) user profiles.
- Safety Guardrails: Ensure AI recommendations do not conflict with clinical care guidelines or inadvertently promote under-fueling or restrictive eating patterns.
- Advisory Syncs: Participate in monthly 45-minute virtual check-ins with our founding team to discuss clinical roadmap items and emerging research.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Credentials: MD or DO with specialization in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, or Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI).
- Clinical Focus: Demonstrated interest or practice experience in women's metabolic/hormonal conditions (PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea, perimenopause, or fertility).
- Digital Health Interest: Passionate about leveraging technology, consumer AI, and preventive nutrition to democratize women's healthcare.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex endocrine processes into clear guidance for digital product application.
