Energy Data Analyst

Energy Data Analyst – Full-time, Hybrid (London, Kingscross)


Salary & Benefits

About the Role

At Veolia, we believe the way you see the world shapes your impact. Our Energy Data Analyst role is for someone passionate about sustainability, efficiency, and transformation. As part of a team driving Ecological Transformation, you’ll play a key role in:

  • Cost control & reduction through data-driven insights
  • Supporting energy markets and ensuring Group expenditure is optimised
  • Collaborating across front-office, middle-office, and back-office teams

Key Responsibilities

Data & Reporting

  • Analyse large datasets to identify cost control & reduction opportunities
  • Maintain and distribute database systems for:
    • Invoice validation
    • Cost reconciliation
    • Supplier portfolio management
  • Produce and update documentation on reporting, data pipelines, and databases
  • Respond to data queries and report requests with precision

Validation & Compliance

  • Validate group expenditure/income from electricity supply agreements
  • Ensure accurate processing through invoice validation systems
  • Maintain records and procedures for data integrity & management

Stakeholder & Contract Support

  • Interact regularly with teams across Veolia (front-office, middle-office, back-office)
  • Provide timely data insights for energy contract negotiations
  • Validate and monitor compliance with energy agreements and incentives

Applicant Requirements

  • Numerate, analytical mindset with experience handling large datasets
  • Preference for candidates with:
    • Project management skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
    • (Experience with SQL and familiarity with energy markets would be beneficial, though not essential)
  • Proven ability to translate data into insights for non-technical stakeholders
