Energy & Engineering Project Manager

THE ROLE REPORTS TO
- Head of Sustainability and Engineering
SUITABLE FOR
- Technical individual with project management experience
- Those with an academic or vocational technical background, holding at least a level 5 qualification in a relevant technical field
- Minimum 2 years in industry
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake site energy audits (nationally) primarily in support of ESOS compliance, including the identification and quantification of energy and carbon reduction opportunities.
- Specify and project manage the delivery of sub metering projects.
- Project manage the delivery of technical partner solution delivery (e.g. Solar PV, Voltage Optimisation, compressed air, heat pumps, etc.).
- Manage and develop relationships with clients.
- Manage and develop relationships with technical partners.
- Provide technical support to the wider sustainability team with regards carbon reduction and net zero roadmaps.
- Keep up to date with the latest energy legislation & technologies.
- Assist the wider sustainability team with data analysis and reporting, including—but not limited to—CCA, EII, and SECR.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years in industry
- Academic or vocational technical background, holding at least a level 5 qualification in a relevant technical field
- Experience in energy auditing and/or project management in an industrial setting
- Confident in the functionality and recommending energy-saving measures across at least two engineering/building service systems (e.g. lighting, HVAC, manufacturing processes, steam, refrigeration, etc.)
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Excellent numeracy skills, with an ability to:
- Calculate possible energy savings
- Analyze large data sets
- Full UK driving licence
- Organised, with great attention to detail
- Competence in Microsoft Office, with excellent skills in Excel

DESIRABLE/ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge/experience of industrial refrigeration systems
- Knowledge/experience of ESOS
- Knowledge/experience of submetering
- Knowledge in low-carbon and/or renewable technologies
SALARY £30k – £50k (dependent on experience).
