Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join their growing SME Energy Contracts team.

You'll take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities through to securing electricity and gas contracts, ensuring every customer receives an excellent service throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities within the SME energy market.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for bespoke and matrix electricity and gas contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and introduce clients to other areas of the business.
  • Ensure all sales are completed accurately and efficiently through to contract commencement.
  • Provide clear and accurate information to internal administration teams to support a smooth customer onboarding process.
  • Contribute towards individual, team, and business sales targets.
  • Prepare sales updates and reports for management as required.
  • Recommend improvements to sales processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and customer experience.
  • Maintain excellent product and market knowledge to provide customers with informed recommendations.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous business-to-business sales experience, including outbound or telesales.
  • Experience within the energy industry or an energy brokerage would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Confident working independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including strong literacy and numeracy skills.
