Enforcement Officer

Closing Date: 24th July 2026  Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time  Salary: £31,662 - £33,507 Hours : 35 hours weekly

An Opportunity has arisen within Community Safety Enforcement for two Enforcement Officers to join our team.

Enforcement Officers contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of our communities through our enforcement duties in relation to Parking, and Environmental Crime. Environmental Crime enforcement includes fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles and parking enforcement includes both on and off street enforcement of established parking restrictions.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the range of enforcement duties and will join a team of officers that cover this important area of work across the Council area, in a diverse and vibrant working environment from urban and city settings to rural communities.

The post requires working over a 7 day period, working a variable shift pattern between 0700 and 2000 and is based predominately outdoors. The ability to be able to undertake prolonged periods of outdoor activity both on foot and driving vehicles is essential in addition to adopting a problem solving approach in day to day activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
