Environmental Enforcement Officer
Location: Frensham Farnham Snack Bar, Ranger Office, GU10 2QB
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: 16 hours per week
Shifts: Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays, 09:00–17:00
Requirement: Basic DBS required
About The Role
We are looking for a confident and professional Environmental Enforcement Officer to join our team supporting Waverley Borough Council.
In this public-facing role, you will patrol designated areas around Frensham Common and surrounding locations, helping to protect the environment, prevent anti-social behaviour, and reduce the risk of wildfires. You will engage with members of the public and, where appropriate, take enforcement action relating to BBQ Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs), littering offences, and anti-social behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
- Patrolling designated areas across Waverley Borough
- Enforcing BBQ Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) to help prevent wildfires and protect the local environment
- Monitoring and addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB)
- Identifying and addressing littering and environmental offences
- Gathering and recording evidence accurately
- Completing reports and maintaining enforcement records
- Providing information and guidance to members of the public
- Representing both the company and Waverley Borough Council professionally at all times
- Supporting initiatives to improve environmental standards and public safety within the borough
What We're Looking For
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
- Good observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Good written and verbal English skills
- Basic IT skills for recording incidents and enforcement activity
- Experience in enforcement, security, customer service, or a public-facing role is desirable
- A Basic DBS check is required for this role
