About You

Do you have a passion for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry?

Do you want to work across a mix of strategy consulting projects that draw from competitor, customer, medical and commercial insights?

Are you a highly motivated professional interested in being part of a dynamic team of self-starters, working with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle?

If so, consider turning your expertise into a valuable career at Prescient. We welcome applications from life science professionals with project management or consulting experience within our growing Competitive Strategy practice.

About Our Competitive Strategy Practice

Prescient has three core practices: Commercial, Medical and Competitive Strategy. We deliver best-in-class biopharmaceutical intelligence, acting as a thought partner to top biopharma organisations across the world. Our offerings are designed to anticipate and respond to competitive risk across the product life cycle – from early pipeline through post-launch – delivering timely insights and strategic implications that enable integrated decision making across competitive intelligence, marketing, medical and commercial functions.

When you join this exciting venture, you will work with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle, from discovery to loss of exclusivity, to help them unlock the full potential of their brands and portfolios.

About the Opportunity

You will be part of a fast-growing PE-backed business that allows high-performing employees to make an impact and contribute to growing the business. You will have the chance to channel your experience and know-how into supporting the development and commercialisation of our clients’ assets and portfolios.

As an Engagement Manager, you will act as the day-to-day lead on small and mid-size projects or key workstreams within larger engagements. You will increasingly work through others, coaching and supporting Analysts and Consultants, making strong individual contributions and providing effective support to senior team members where needed.

You will be a core point of contact for clients, developing productive and enduring relationships and establishing yourself as a credible strategic advisor. You will help ensure projects are delivered effectively, efficiently and in line with Prescient’s high quality standards.

As most of your clients will be based in the US, the Engagement Manager position requires a good understanding of the evolving US biopharmaceutical market and trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting: Report to a Director, Associate Vice President or Vice President within the Competitive Strategy practice, ensuring clear communication on project progress, risks and resource needs
  • Project Execution and Management:
    • Lead the day-to-day management of competitive strategy and competitive intelligence engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines and budgets
    • Structure and manage workstreams, guide junior team members and ensure that analytical approaches align with client objectives
  • Client Interaction and Service:
    • Build credibility by understanding client contexts, anticipating needs and delivering thoughtful, actionable insights
    • Support senior leaders in ensuring clients experience best-in-class service throughout the engagement life cycle
  • Account Development:
    • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities across existing accounts, shaping proposals and recommending strategic growth pathways to account leads
    • Take a leading role in deepening client relationships, regularly engaging senior stakeholders, articulating value and driving account expansion through consistent, high-impact delivery
  • Subject Matter and Therapeutic Area Expertise:
    • Develop and apply a strong understanding of relevant therapeutic areas, clinical development pathways, regulatory considerations and competitive environments
    • Serve as a knowledge resource to internal teams
  • People Leadership: Provide day-to-day coaching, feedback and oversight to junior team members to support their development and ensure high-quality contributions
  • Conference and External Engagement: Attend industry conferences or virtual events to gather competitive insights, deepen therapeutic knowledge, and build familiarity with key stakeholders and trends

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
