Engagement Team Leader

Full time
£35,448 - £38,463 p.a. depending on experience
Based in Nottingham travel with some travel across the East Midlands where necessary.

Main purpose:

  • Work with the Commercial Director to develop and grow the business and implement the sales strategy.
  • Achieve annual sales, recruitment and retention KPIs across all relevant programmes.
  • Effectively lead, develop and manage the engagement team to ensure they meet their individual KPIs and all work complies with sector rules and regulations.
  • Drive forward the commitment to providing high quality IAG across all programmes by ensuring we have the right learner, on the right programme, with the right employer.
  • Deliver excellent service to all our customer and stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • To ensure that Equality & Diversity practices are followed throughout the day-to-day activities within the engagement team, especially when dealing with learners, employers, and referral partners.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team are achieving sales targets and KPIs across all relevant programmes.
  • Ensure the team maximise sales opportunities and sales time by working in a structured format and implementing sales plans in line with sales strategy.
  • Produce accurate and timely sales reports as required and ensure overall and individual sales records/trackers/CRM/reports, are kept up to date in a timely manner.
  • Ensure candidate applications are processed timely to provide a good service and maximise sales opportunities and implement effective use of a ‘talent pool.’
  • Lead by example by building up and managing a caseload of own sales activity/key accounts and support the Commercial Director to manage key customers and generate opportunities.
  • Ensure all customer enquires/sales leads are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and build relationships with key stakeholders and referral partners to create and maximise opportunities.
  • Identify and plan attendance at relevant events to promote Access and be an advocate for our brand.
  • Manage the performance of the team in line with company process including conducting monthly one-to-ones to ensure team performance is in line with agreed KPI’s and address underperformance, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Develop, and support team to enable them to provide robust Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to our learners and employers and achieve a minimum rating of ‘Expected Standard’ on IAG observation.
  • Ensure the team complete all relevant paperwork accurately and timely to ensure internal and external quality and compliance requirements are met.
  • Maintain own professional competence by keeping up to date with Government and sector developments and priorities.
  • Build effective working relationships across all departments.
