The Opportunity

The Role

The Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions that enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and efficiency of retail environments. This role bridges the gap between design and production engineering, ensuring that retail spaces meet operational, technical, and customer experience standards.

Job Title: Engineer
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Hours of Work: 9am – 5.30pm 37.5 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine innovative engineering designs for retail fixtures, product layouts, and systems
  • Collaborate to integrate engineering solutions into retail concepts
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, retailer, and brand standards
  • Lead and coordinate technical engineering aspects of a varied range of Retail Projects
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
  • Conduct site assessments and provide engineering input during planning phases
  • Provide ongoing support for retail systems including POS, networking, and environmental controls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to both brand and retailer environments
  • Assist in testing and validation of new technologies and systems
  • Research and implement sustainable and energy-efficient engineering solutions
  • Develop scalable solutions for multi-location retail environments

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven 2D and 3D engineering experience within the Retail Industry
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM processes
  • Strong understanding of materials and production processes
  • Ability to validate, translate, and interpret client briefs into tangible and considered engineering solutions
  • Prioritization of engineering requests to increase speed to market and maintain efficiency within the manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrix environment
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Monday.com) is an advantage
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented approach
