Pay rate: DOE, inside IR35, Umbrella rates of pay
Location: Sellafield/Whitehaven
Hybrid/Remote Working: 3 days min per week from office/site
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CE&I Responsible Engineer to join our established team supporting a high profile Programme at Sellafield. Working within a collaborative project environment, you will play a key role in delivering engineering excellence across a major nuclear decommissioning programme. You will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager, multidisciplinary engineering teams, the client, and supply chain partners to ensure the successful delivery of this project.
Role Information
As the CE&I Responsible Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate and timely delivery of CE&I engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing and reviewing CE&I engineering deliverables, drawings and technical documentation to meet project requirements.
- Managing design documentation, technical specifications and engineering records.
- Controlling configuration management for engineering deliverables and associated site activities.
- Working closely with design teams and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, design requirements and construction regulations.
- Providing technical guidance, engineering support and regular progress updates to the project team.
- Planning and prioritising engineering activities while proactively resolving technical issues and project challenges.
- Using AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D scanning technology to capture and transfer accurate site information to design teams.
- Contributing practical operational experience during Design and Constructability Reviews to support efficient project delivery.

Qualifications/Experience Required
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.
- Demonstrable experience operating as a SQEP CE&I Responsible Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of operational plant and experience working within a live nuclear environment.
- Experience using the CIMAGE system within Sellafield.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across client, contractor and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Valid Sellafield Site Pass.
