Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess hands-on experience with electrical work and be committed to ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Duties

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults efficiently.
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring, equipment, or fixtures to ensure optimal operation.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or malfunctions within electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out for compliance purposes.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety standards during all tasks to minimise risk of accidents or injuries.

As a Qualified Electrician, You Will Ideally Have:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician with experience managing multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (BS 7671) to at least amendment 2 (2022), City & Guilds 2391 or EAL Level 3 (600/43388/6) (Testing & Inspection) is essential.
  • Valid JIB/ECS Gold Card is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the requirements of the NICEIC and be confident in driving the company towards gaining full approved contractor status and becoming the Q.S to represent the company at annual inspections.
  • A strong understanding of BS 7671:2018 is essential.
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and either have your own van (fuel allowance provided) or be willing to use a company van.
